Historical fashion designer of the week...
Madeliene Vionnet

She was a french fashion designer in the 1920's, she is well known for creating the "bias cut". She created history, Bias is usde everyday in fashion to create better drape and fit to the female body.

Her work is absolutely beautiful then and now. Her pieces are of a high couture standard and have timeless beauty.

You can check out the Vionnet fashion house website at

Fashion Illustrator of the week...

Stina Persson

She has some of the best illustrations I have ever had the pleasure of feasting my eyes on. Her work is very colourful, liquid and soft. The images really represent fashion and culture. The colour usage is perfect and the styles are so laid back and fluid. I could browse her images all day and never get bored...

She has worked for major clients such as coca cola, sony music, DKNY, Harpers Bazaar and Marie Claire

You HAVE to check out all of hr images in her portfolio.

You will not regret it... trust me ;)

Fav Flower of the week...

Multi coloured rose

I found this image online whilst searching google images...

I was so mesmerized by this picture that i have now held onto it for a good 3 years...

The article said that it was real, but i do fear that it has been tampered with somehow.. BUT STILL, isnt it amazing...? Such a creative and wonderful idea, I wish we could do this to all the flowers in the world... like in alice in wonderland when they paint all the roses red, if only such a world existed... Hoepfully viewing this flower will give you a feeling of mystic...

Favortie artist of the week...

Audrey Kawasaki

This lady creates some outright stunning artwork!!! Her pictures are so articulated and beautiful. She uses multi media which gives her images depth and difference. I have only just recently discovered her work and ive become totally obsessed... I am now her facebook friend and a huge fan! On her facebook page there are hundreds of images that people have uploaded of her artwork tattooed on their bodies - absolutely amazing work! maybe an idea for my tattoo... hmmm. the linear drawings that are so detailed combined with beautiful girls and skulls/bones create creepy and very beautiful masterpieces.

Please check her out, not for me but for YOU! her doodles will inspire you if nothing else will.

Well thats it for today... but there are many many more beautiful images to come for your viewing pleasure.
Next week I will have my fav musician of the moment and how they inspire me creatively, what it is in their songs that make me tick... My favorite sculpture and how they can create amazing objects from a block of stone... My most loved fashion icon and how they have inspired and shaped my fashion career.
until next week...
au revoir xxx
